CIPAC MT 3.3 is a standard analytical method for determining the density (d= m/v) of pesticide and biocide formulations. Density is a crucial parameter for evaluating the physical properties, formulation quality, and homogeneity of a product.

- The product is prepared for measurement at an appropriate temperature (typically 20 °C or 25 °C).
- The pycnometer is weighed first empty and then with the product.
- Density is calculated from the mass and volume values.
- The result is evaluated in accordance with the CIPAC MT 3.3 method.
